It is the morning of my baby girl’s senior prom. I laid in bed a few extra minutes today, thinking of a morning almost 19 years ago when I drove Margaret to the hospital for her birth. Where has the time gone?

She was up and out the door to have her nails done before I got up. I did catch a glimpse of her as she ran in and out of the house only to pick up money for makeup; I had only enough time to remind her not to speed (there was only 10 minutes until the makeup appointment at the mall which is 15 minutes away). Sigh!!!!!!!!!

I have only seen a picture of her dress. Margaret says that I will cry for sure when I see her in it. I cry at the drop of a hat anyway when it comes to my children, my family, or honestly anything at all that is sentimental.

She is fast becoming a young woman, who will leave us in the fall to start the next chapter of her life in college. She is an intelligent, confident, and beautiful young lady, who is prepared and eager to close this chapter of her life and move on to the next one.

She may be ready to close this chapter…………I’m not!

Gotta go, I am about to cry and it’s not even 5 o’clock yet!

Read, learn, and share……Have a Family Meeting!
