Do you think that either of these men would ever allow their sons’ pants to sag?

Can you look into their eyes and appreciate the pride, journey, and appreciation for faith and everything else that has brought them through to this point? I can, because I have a picture similar to this one of my grandfather’s family.

My guess is that everyone in this picture was probably hoping for the same things that all families do: health, love, safety, fairness, the ability to sustain, longevity of life, a better life for the young people in the picture, and a world in which we all treat each each other in the way that we would like to be treated.

Isn’t it ironic how simple this could all have been, and could still be, if we stopped listening to the noise and began to listen to each other?

What do you think?
